Frey BikeFreyBike company was established in the year of 2013, in JinHua, ZheJiang province, China. FreyBike has focused on the design, development, manufacturing, sales, and service of electric mountain bikes, and has now gone through a decade.
Starting an electric mountain bike brand from scratch is not easy. In these short ten years, Frey aimed to create an international mainstream brand and become a customer demand-oriented innovative e-bike company. To meet the needs of the majority of cyclists, we continued to innovate and develop our products. Frey's achievements are obvious to all. Of course, Frey was not plain sailing and encountered many unimaginable difficulties in these years.
Here we will show Frey's colorful journey in the form of a timeline.
⚪In 2013, the Frey team was established in JinHua. As a beginning of a success story, the company was named a simple word FREY: F for Free, R for Ride, E for Enjoy, and Y for Yourself. It's creative and is the same pronunciation as free, which explains the brand concept of free riding to our customers. Now Frey has a slogan as“Freydom Is Yours”.
In 2013, the international sports market is upgrading evolution, while a lot of people were beginning to pay attention to healthy commuting and electric mountain bikes were born and developed with this concept. Frey met this opportunity and made eMTBs that met international market standards.
Frey started with a mission that produces ultra-powered e-mountain bikes that, from enthusiast level to entry-level customers, need and want, for a very reasonable price.
⚪In 2019, after further studying and focusing on the manufacturing of electric mountain bikes, Frey's got a flawless product line and manufacturing technology. Meanwhile, Frey has received attention from some media of electric transportation, such as electrek.co.Electrek has introduced our products several times and even come to visit Frey's factory in A11.
⚪In 2020, Frey decided to sponsor the HIBP enduro competition, named its track, and participated in the event with local cyclists. This event was also sponsored by Frey in May of the following year.
We are happy to share the passion of cycling with the ones who love cycling. Frey welcomes local cyclists to join the company for participating in cycling-related activities in their spare time.
⚪In 2021, Frey has got its own independent workshop C0, which has taken a big step toward the goal of manufacturing high-end electric mountain bikes with a great benefit-cost ratio.
The upgrading of e-bike technology also needs some solid support in the back. As a famous brand of electric bike driving system, Bafang is an important strategic partner of Frey, who has provided Frey with high-ends motors for a long time.
In addition to the use of the Bafang motor, Frey also chooses high-end accessory brands for e-bikes, such as the front fork and rear shock of RockShox. For the quality of electric mountain bikes, Frey also invested in the frame factory.
In the same year, Frey built its FreyBike park for in-house electric mountain bike testing and customer-experience trail rides.
⚪In 2022, the motor technology supplier – BaFang core technology team came to visit Frey on 18th, June, and held a new products introduction conference, especially for Frey.
⚪In October of 2022, there is a new start for Frey – We went into a new office.
From C0 to the new office in JinHua, Frey has leveled up again, aiming to accomplish the expansion of the business department and operation department. Frey will provide consumers with more considerate services in the future to achieve win-win cooperation between the company and consumers. The three times of office migrations also mean the process of upgrading e-bike quality and service quality.
Over the past 10 years, Frey has won the support and trust of many cyclists. We still understood our responsibility and mission clearly: "From entry-level to enthusiasts, Frey produces high-powered e-mountain bikes that customers need and want for a great price".
